Description : KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Peoplesoft or Oracle Integrated Financial Systems or similar system payment processes; Knowledge of Texas Comptroller object codes and definitions, vendor codes, applicable Texas Procurement and Support Services (TPASS) purchasing codes and funding codes applicable to the processing of payments; Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures affecting the maintenance of accounting records and automated accounting systems; Skill in using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; Skill in using MS Word and Excel functions to analyze data and report findings in the most efficient and effective manner; Skill in using standard office equipment; Skill in effective verbal and written communication; Skill in ascertaining areas to be considered confidential and maintaining confidentiality in sensitive matters; Skill in making independent, sound, and timely decisions; Ability to use office procedures, administrative principles, general bookkeeping, and accounting practices; Ability to accurately follow instructions and resolve routine problems; Ability to identify errors while taking and/or recommending appropriate corrective actions; Ability to maintain records and work accurately with numerical details in a high volume setting; Ability to utilize organizational policies, procedures, and state laws; Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data; Ability to plan and arrange workload tasks to meet deadlines; Ability to work under stressful conditions; Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish goals and meet deadlines; Ability to work efficiently, and in a dependable, organized and productive manner; Ability to navigate in the Comptrollers financial system (USAS and CAPPS) and vendor database (TINS); Ability to interpret and apply accounting theory; Ability to interpret laws and regulations; Ability to work accurately with numerical detail; Ability to analyze, consolidate, and interpret accounting data; Ability perform manual labor, including lifting supplies and materials up to 15 lbs.; Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program.
Requirements : Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Experience: No experience required
